It’s been a busy and exciting Spring at one of our affiliate barns! In keeping with the spirit of spring; rebirth and renewal, CEC welcomed the birth of a colt, J CEC Zeus, born to “Ebony & Pearls” on April 20th at 4:59 am.

Zeus is the god of sky, lightning, thunder, law, order and justice. Zeus’ birth was broadcast live on CEC’s website. If you missed the live birth (as we know many of you were likely sleeping at 4:59 AM!), you can view the video here:

We also announced the winner of CEC’s Facebook Challenge, Annie Temple, for being the closest guess to Ebony’s delivery date. She won a CEC T-shirt. Congratulations Annie!

We’re also very excited as we anticipate the arrival of a new foal by Shaolin, an OTTB (pictured below). She’s due late June. Shaolin is Owned by Julie & Carissa Spears. This is a consigned pregnancy to Charissa Kumamoto. The birth will also be streamed live by CEC’s Baby Cam and can be seen at:
